OK...when it comes to photoshop photo effects, there are SO many cool and unique things to do! Where do we start??? So....I want YOU to show ME what YOU want to learn how to do! I am not promising to be able to always figure out how it was done, but I will certainly do my best and post a photo effect tutorial every other week or so! So if you see a cool photo effect somewhere and think to yourself....
I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO DO THAT.....
share the link to the photo with me! And I will do my best!
And for those that want to figure out your OWN way to do it, if you send me the steps to create a cool effect, I will post the tutorial on my blog with the before and afters! With credit to YOU! So everyone can check out your killer photoshop skills!!!
So....
1. Send me a link to a photo effect example that you are dying to learn!
or
2. Send me the directions for a cool photo effect that YOU figured out, to be featured on my blog!
THANKS and Happy Scrapping!!!

Ack- I'm DYING. The links aren't working on the posts below! Probably just my computer, right? Grr.
Okay- the photo effect I use most often is for a soft filter look. I figured it out, but I'm sure most people know how to do it.
I just copy the layer, put a pretty thick gaussian blur on the top one, take down the opacity to the level of softness I want, and then mask out the parts I want sharper.
There's probably a more technical way to describe it, but there you go. ;D
Thank God you are going to continue with your tutorials. I have learned so much from you and been so happy about what I can do now. :)
I do the same thing as Summer, but I add one more step. I call it my "wedding look". Before you take down the opacity of the blurred out layer, I like to change the curves to give it more contrast, usually making the lights significantly lighter. It tends to be just right when it is a little over what your maximum threshold for a normal photo would be. Then mess with the opacity and you get a nice ethereal look.
Thank you for wanting to give us tutorials. I knew I followed you for a reason... he he...
