Here is the layout I created using the kit earlier this month!!!

Old: Right now a there is a CAFE challenge going on (ends Wednesday, Jan 25th at midnight Eastern) featuring CREATE, INSPIRE, PLAY!!!

Random Thoughts: So as of a week and 1/2 ago I am on modified (meaning I don't have to stay in bed 100% of the time, I have LIMITED freedom...I can sit, take a shower *thank goodness*, make myself a snack, etc) bedrest....(INSERT GIANT SIGH HERE!) Soooo....here are some random thoughts I have had....since I have had WAY too much time to think!!!!
1- Why is the word dictionary in the dictionary?
2- What is the purpose of fingernails?
3- Coffee is good....
4- Gummy bears are better....
5- Dots and Swedish fish are best of all....
6- Why, when you CAN'T clean, does your house suddenly look SO DIRTY????

Yep, FOUR....FOUR kids! I thought I was done at 2....so, yeah....this is going to be an adventure! Mr. Young and I are expecting numero 4 in late March. Which for me, means early March, since my little youngin's like to pop out at least 3-4 weeks early if not earlier! (and by POP OUT I mean put me through 24 hour, hair pulling, frustrating labor....yeah, ask me my labor horror stories sometime...I could keep you entertained for hours). Even though this little Mr or Miss was a BIG surprise, we are THRILLED!!! So if I am a little spacey or absent around here, its because I am feeling a bit beat! Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!!!

Hey guys! I can't show you EVERY layout in the DSP gallery, they are all unique and fantastic. But there were a few that really stood out to me this week! Wanted to share them with YOU!!!!

Check out NO WORDS by Heidi Nicole. What a GREAT layout. The picture speaks a thousand words in this wordless layout!! LOVE IT!!!

Live Laugh Love by Janey Doll is fantastic! Love the pop of orange that balances that beautiful sunset photo!!!!
And although she is DEFINITELY NOT HAPPY, this cute layout by Jpizel made me smile! Love the pouty look on her face, as a mom, I have been there, seen that and understand the need to scrap it!!!!

And last (but definitely not least) is this great colorful layout by Mars LITTLE ARTIST. I LOVE the color she added to the word art and how everything flows out of the photo!!!

Hey guys!!! WHEW busy week!!! If you hadn't heard yet, I went into labor last Sunday and had our little princess Payton on Monday afternoon! She is already a WEEK OLD!!! EEEEKKK Time is already flying by!!! Thank you for all the well wishes that I saw all over DSP and on my blog and facebook page!!! You guys are awesome!!!!

So this week is a fun challenge....it features Steampunk Devotion (you can use Steampunk Devotion, Steampunk Devotion 2 or the Value Collection to take part in the challenge)

Post your layout in the CAFE gallery and post a link so I can see it in the CAFE thread!!!! (I send the freebie out from the list in the CAFE thread at the end of the challenge!)

Hey guys! Are you interested in trying out for DSP's Digital Elite Team???? (It's our site's "creative team" but instead of having to work with only one designer, you get to work with ALL of the DSP's designers!!! WHICH TOTALLY ROCKS IF YOU ASK ME!!!!)

I know you guys will do great and its a fun contest! (even if you don't make it the first time!) Before I was a designer, I tried out too and didn't make it! So don't be nervous, its a hard contest but its worth the effort!!!! Its hard when you don't make it, but its SO fun to be able to be part of a contest that produces such AWESOME layouts!!! I hope you guys will give it a try! I can't WAIT to see your layouts!!! I know some of you will make it!!! I JUST KNOW IT!!!! So what are you waiting for???? CHECK OUT THIS THREAD FOR ALL THE DETAILS!!!!!!!

A few details:
The DET are our Digital Elite Team - these are a group of scrappers who through this contest are deemed by the judges ( Designers and DET admin) to best showcase the designs created by DSP designers.
They get a GREAT selection of kits and products to scrap with each month and for each layout they complete they are awarded with another product essentially meaning they can have almost an unlimited number of free products every month.

DET members must create 8 - 10 layouts per month to keep their position.

The DET tenure is 6 months but existing DET may try out for a second term and are exempt from the first round while they are still incumbent on the team.

New! - DET now are only able to hold the position for 2 consecutive terms - then they must stand down for one term before trying again

DET members may not be on any other creative team during their tenure.

The contest is an elimination style contest. Of the many who enter only a handful will be successful.
If you dont feel you can cope with rejection please dont enter the contest as most people who enter will not make the team and we hate it when people are disappointed because they werent chosen. -

The contest will be in 4 rounds - contestants will be provided with product to create their layouts from and will have 5 days to complete and upload their layout
The successful candidates will be announced in the forum and via Private message before the start of the next round

The first round will start on March 1 - Private messages with details and links to the initial products will be sent out the night before.
